Reflections
Ponds and pondering.
Water meditation.
A time to slow down,
soak up the quietness,
search below the surface.
A time to let things be,
surrendering to the eternal cycle of
life, death and beyond.
Still
waters
mirroring
skies
that are mirroring
thoughts:
creating windows
with the unknown
(which can only be felt).
Plants, creatures, minds
gently nurtured
by those layers of docile life unravelling .
There's a place for everything
and everyone
in this balance
of opposites,
in this absence
of time.
Up above,
and down below
is where the heavens lie.
We are but a reflection of it all.
This nomadic exhibition is a visual journey which aims at guiding through a deeper sensorial and mental experience.
The theme “reflections” plays with the double meaning of the word, referring to images seen on top of a shiny surface but also to careful thoughts and ponderings.
The artwork invites to plunge into such dimensions, leading the viewer to admire and feel inspired by the subjectivity of our realities and their double layers: what we can see at the surface, and what beyond.
The fluidity and stillness of the depicted water bodies (extended to the creatures who live within them or simply visit) sets the fil rouge of this visual storytelling, like an ode to the water as a social and spiritual sphere which is deeply linked to our human aspirations and needs.
12 limited edition photos printed in A3 size on museum-quality archival paper and framed using premium quality wooden frames and non-reflective glass.
